We go about things in a genuine way, both in our food and the way we cook it. We believe you should know what goes into your food, and how it’s been prepared
A passionate team
Our friendly and loyal crew work hard to be the best, and genuinely care about the food they work with.
Whether it’s canapés for a lavish event, or carrot cake in a city park, we deliver great quality food and service every time.
How it all began.
Company of Cooks was formed in 1996 to run the catering services at Kenwood House on behalf of English Heritage. At the time, others said it set the standard for outdoor public space food service. Time Out awarded it a Red Star in their Annual Restaurant Guide and named it one of the top places to eat, then virtually unheard of for a visitor attraction catering operation.
The business grew organically from these origins, securing further catering contracts within The Royal Parks, RHS Garden Wisley, the Southbank Centre, Royal Opera House and National Portrait Gallery, among others.
The company has grown significantly in the cultural sector, now operating all restaurants, bars, events and staff catering at the Royal Opera House, the restaurant and café at the National Portrait Gallery, and being invited to return to the Royal Academy of Arts in Burlington Gardens after their 250th anniversary redevelopment.
Timber Lodge and associated kiosks within the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park have recently been added to the portfolio, working closely with the London Legacy Development Corporation.
Company of Cooks develops concepts jointly with our partners and believe in careful positioning and communication.
