Job Descriptions
Bartender
Our lively, fast paced, high volume bars offer great drinks and a relaxed meeting place for London’s premier arts venue – the Southbank Centre. We are open for pre and post show drinks, during show intervals and throughout the day. This is a great opportunity for friendly, engaging and experienced bar staff who love to be “on stage”.
Barista
Ideal candidates are fanatical about coffee, very experienced in making top quality coffee to consistently great standards and who have previously worked in high volume, professional establishments. Baristas need to be multi-taskers, have excellent customer service skills and immaculate presentation. If you know your Arabica from your Robusta and you pride yourself on your dispense presentation then we would like to hear from you!
Cook
Our cooks work to carefully constructed recipes which have simplicity and quality built in to every dish. Working under the supervision of a qualified chef, our cooks have to work to stringent hygiene standards and love producing a menu of value and distinction. In addition to general kitchen duties many of our cooks have to do short order cooking. You need to be able to work systematically and at speed while maintaining quality and presentation standards. A sense of humour also helps!
General Assistant
You do not need to have experience in catering but you do need to be personable, eager to learn, prepared to work flexibly and someone who enjoys life with bags of enthusiasm! We want to recruit people who will give 110% to delivering the great food and drinks we have developed for our customers. We rely on our team members to deliver superb service directly to our customers. Every year thousands of people from all over the world visit our sites. They need to be served by cheerful, friendly and knowledgeable staff who like dealing with people.
Supervisor
These are key players in the success of the company. The job involves preparing the restaurant for business, supervising food displays, supervising a team of staff, managing customer flows, cash handling and a host of other tasks. Sound experience at a supervisory level in a catering environment is vital – preferably one associated with the leisure industry. Supervisors need to be able to communicate effectively with their customers and staff.
