Royal Opera House Restaurants - Reservations Clerk
The Royal Opera House stages Opera and ballet with artistic performances at the highest standards of excellence. Our challenge is to provide a superior catering service to compliment the experience. We are looking for a Reservations Clerk to work within a busy and vibrant team. You must be able to:
- Make bookings, take menu choices, and answer all restaurant and bars enquiries for Royal Opera House Restaurants at the Royal Opera House by telephone, post and e-mail
- Assist with the collation of information for summaries of all reservations in good time
- Have experience of working in a restaurant reservations environment and relevant system
- Be highly organised with the ability to show attention to detail and work well under pressure. You will have a a keen interest in and experience of working in the hospitality industry and a good basic knowledge of food and drink.
- Have excellent customer service skills
- Have an excellent level of written and spoken English
- Prior experience of working with Restaurant Diary and Tessitura is highly desirable
- You must also have the right to work in the UK, have a National Insurance Number and bank account.

Company of Cooks Events - Event Sales Intern
We are looking for an Event Sales Assistant to handle enquiries within our busy events department. The ideal candidate will have:
- A passion for the events industry
- Willingness to learn
- Ambitious and ability to strive for results
- Good verbal & written communication skills
- Telephone call handling experience
- Knowledge of catering or events industry
- Rational problem solver and able to adjust to change
- Able to work under pressure
- Competent use of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Flexible attitude
During term time Candidate will work on a part-time basis and full time during the summer holidays. Please note this is an unpaid position.
