Chiswick House & Gardens

Chiswick House is a magnificent neo-Palladian villa set in beautiful historic gardens in west London.

Built by the third Earl of Burlington in 1729 to showcase his art collection and to enthral his guests, the house continues to display many spectacular works of art and provides a stunning venue for entertaining.

The gardens at Chiswick are the birthplace of the English Landscape Movement and have inspired countless gardens including New York’s Central Park.

All profits raised help to support Chiswick House and Gardens Trust, a registered charity dedicated to the preservation and continued enhancement of the historic Chiswick House Gardens.

Fine ceramic artist Paul Cummins has created six installations collectively known as “The English Country Garden”. The installations comprise of 12,000 individually hand thrown ceramic blooms mounted on metal rods that catch the breeze in a manner evocative of gardens and meadows. 2,000 of these blooms will be at the landmark installation at Chiswick House Gardens.

Visitors can enjoy this remarkable installation against the dramatic and changing setting of the ‘Orange Tree Garden’ and the newly refurbished Ionic temple. In the centre of the still circular pool there is an obelisk adding to the beauty of the historic backdrop for The Meadow Flower Garden project.
