A venue as intriguing as its history, built in 1793, the original house was very aptly named Paradise House. Many years later the young daughter of the Crawshay family married, amid great scandal, August Clissold, the local curate. The house has proudly stood with that name ever since.
Set in 54 acres of green parkland, Clissold House is at the very heart of the local community. Following a recent refurbishment this enchanting Georgian house is now open, with many of its original features preserved. Sash windows and a beautiful skylight are all in place to enhance your event.
From private dinners for 10 to wedding receptions for 60, our dedicated events team are here to make sure your event is as stunning as this very special venue itself.
